About

Two of us write this. Priya has lived in Calgary since 2009, Tom since 2016. Neither of us works in tourism.

Why it exists

Priya's family visits from Ontario most summers and the same questions came up every time. The answers turned into a document, the document turned into a site in 2021, and it grew from there.

How we write it

We only write about places we've been ourselves, and recently. Where a page is going stale we mark it rather than quietly leave it. Hours, prices and anything seasonal get re-checked in March and September.

What we get wrong

Restaurants, mostly. A page recommending a room that closed six weeks earlier is the most common correction we receive, and we're grateful for every one of them.

What we don't do

• no sponsored content, no paid placements, no affiliate links,
• no press trips or comped meals,
• no ranked "top ten" lists, because we don't believe our ranking would mean anything.
